More Storage Space! That is at the top of every homeowner’s list when embarking on a kitchen renovation. Spice collections, every day dinnerware, special occasion dinnerware, cookware, bakeware, and don’t even get me started on the sheer number of not-so-small appliances that have become a must-have fixture in the modern day kitchen – Electric Pressure Cookers, Airfryers, Slowcookers…. We haven’t even gotten to food yet and this list is massive! We’ve all been there – staring in dismay at all the “stuff” we can’t live without in our kitchen… but as much as we need all of these things, what we really don’t want is to see it cluttering our countertops. The good news is, you can have it all! The tools that make every day cooking more convenient, housed in a beautiful, organized kitchen.
To begin this sleek kitchen renovation, we started by opening up walls to create a more spacious feel. From there, we custom built these classic white cabinets with drawers, drawers and more drawers. But we didn’t stop there! We also customized some of these drawers for specific purposes like the spice collection. Anyone who regularly cooks in their kitchen, likely has a collection at least this big and it is a daily struggle to find what you’re looking for. Custom spice drawers put your collection at your fingertips to save you time (and frustration!) trying to find what you need.
Modern custom cabinetry aside, there are a few other elements of this kitchen that deserve a mention. For starters, those floors are cork and they are amazingly soft and warm to walk on yet durable and beautiful to look at. The prep sink/island area is a new addition to this kitchen and the countertops were done in “Landscape Quartz” which match the bathroom we did in this home as well. Also, if you’re into fun kitchen “toys”, everyone who worked in this kitchen marveled at the cool choice of dishwashers that this homeowner made – LOL! It is basically two dishwashers in one, and capable of doing two separate half loads. I don’t know about you, but if we had that dishwasher, it would end a lot of marital arguments about running a half full dishwasher 😉
